From Ventilator to Victory: The Inspirational Journey of Nahida Mohamed
Nahida Mohamed, a resilient and inspiring woman from Thrissur, Kerala, transformed adversity into achievement through sheer determination. A mother, academician, and beauty queen, Nahida’s life took a dramatic turn after childbirth in 2017 when she was diagnosed with peripartum cardiomyopathy, a life-threatening heart condition. After days on a ventilator and months of recovery, she fought postpartum depression and reclaimed her life.
With dual master’s degrees (M.Com, MBA),M.Com with UGC NET, MBA, Nahida worked with KPMG and as a commerce lecturer before joining Lahanti Lastmile Services Pvt Ltd, a partner of ESAF Small Finance Bank. In 2022, she rose to fame by winning the Kerala State Gold title at the “Mrs. India One in a Million” pageant. In 2023, she was crowned “Mrs. World Gorgeous Royal Global Queen” and received the Royal Achiever Award from actor Aftab Shivdasani.
An advocate for women’s empowerment and mental health awareness, Nahida is now a motivational speaker and fashion show judge. Her daughter, Yishitha Yaritza, is also making waves in modeling and sports. Nahida dreams of founding a home named “Heaven” for orphans and the elderly, proving that true beauty lies in compassion, strength, and purpose.
