Suma Prakash, a dynamic and multifaceted personality from Mysuru, stands as a shining example of dedication, compassion, and lifelong learning. With a strong academic foundation—holding a B.Com and an MBA—Suma initially made her mark as a corporate soft skills trainer. Over the years, however, her passion evolved toward holistic wellness, leading her into the world of yoga, where she has now become a respected instructor, therapist, and community leader.
Her transition into yoga was more than a career change—it was a calling. Suma earned a gold medal in her Postgraduate Diploma in Yoga and Therapy Yoga from the prestigious Sri Vivekananda Yoga Kendra in Mysuru. She further enhanced her credentials by successfully completing QCI and RPL certifications, as well as earning a Postgraduate Diploma in Scientific Pranayama. Her deep understanding of the therapeutic aspects of yoga allows her to offer more than just physical practices—she guides individuals toward complete well-being.
Today, she runs “Aura Yoga and Wellness,” a yoga and therapy center in Mysuru that offers a range of wellness services. Her work is deeply rooted in healing and empowerment, especially for women. Through her affiliation with an NGO, Suma conducts workshops for lady auto drivers, educating them in hygiene, etiquette, grooming, stress management, and breathing techniques—transforming lives from the grassroots level.
Suma’s influence has reached global audiences. She has conducted and organized numerous yoga workshops both in India and abroad. Her excellence has been recognized with several prestigious accolades, including the Global Iconic Award, Nari Shakti Award, and the Sthri Rathna Award in the field of yoga and wellness.
Beyond yoga, Suma’s life is enriched by a range of personal interests including singing, travelling, painting, and gardening. Her active participation in community life is evident from her service as the former President of the Inner Wheel Club of Mysore and her current role as a trustee of Shri Swami Vivekananda High School in Mooganhundi village.
Family plays a central role in her life. Suma is married to B.M. Prakash, a successful tyre retailer who runs Madhus Tyres in Mysuru. She is a proud mother to two sons, Ajay and Amogh, and is equally proud of her daughters-in-law, Heather and Mahima. Recently, her family was blessed with a grandson, Marcus Raghavendra, adding another joyful chapter to her journey.
From the corporate boardroom to the yoga mat, from local outreach to global recognition, Suma Prakash has built a life centered on service, healing, and empowerment. Her journey continues to inspire many, proving that with passion and purpose, one can truly transform lives—starting with their own.
